The Future of Digital Golf Aids: Swing Profiles

Technology always seems to surprise us one way or another. With new technologies getting invented and existing technologies being improved upon, it has become impossible to predict what the future has in store for us.

Speaking of incredible technologies, one innovative app that got my attention was the Swing Profile App. This particular app is aimed towards golfers. Those who are interested in golf know the intricacies of the sport. It isn't just hit the golf ball and pray for it to reach the target, careful planning and calculation is what that makes a truly magnificent golfer.
How Swing Profile works is that the app uses your device's camera and takes a series of pictures while we do a swing. Then the compile program in the app breaks down the video into a series of pictures or golf swing sequences. These golf swing sequences are then carefully scanned for the various posture positions of the person who took the swing.
What's brilliant is that the app breaks down the golf swing sequences and name them by your moves. The whole thing just takes a few seconds. For example, if you took golfers swing and used this app to do an analysis, the app names each frame by your posture. That is, it names your moves like upswing, address, top, downswing, etc., making this app a true golfer's companion.
Another feature of this app is that it contains the swing profile databases of major players so you can use their data as a reference. So boast to all of your friends when you have perfected your moves with that of Tiger Woods. Normally we know that these kinds of apps always falls short regarding reliability and repeatability.
What makes Swing Profile stand apart is that they have perfected their method and recognition system by using their system in various golf events like the NZ PGA Championships. So shout out to all golfers out there, give this app a try, and you won't be disappointed.
